April 9, 2024Today marks the release of My Life in Recipes, a treasury of recipes and stories from Joan Nathan, the James Beard award-winning author and New York Times contributor. Joan learned of Bautista Family through her daughter Daniela, who had purchased dates at her local Los Angeles farmers market, and together they visited the Ranch during Covid. In My Life in Recipes, Joan shares the Bautista story and her impressions of the full-circle lifestyle on the Ranch, where she realized "the world will be a better place." The book also includes a recipe for Orange Cream Cheese Butter Cookies Stuffed with Dates and Walnuts, which Joan adapted from a recipe given to Alicia by a Bautista Dates customer.
